365 Infantry #8: What to Expect
VIII. The Metal Factor
“It’s settled then. I leave at sunrise tomorrow.” With those words, Captain Tomás César Herrera had sealed his fate, at least for now. He had mulled it over, as one does with any great decision sat at their feet. The black-furred officer called his beloved, talked through it, and like any wife of war, met it all with a brave face. …
In The War, adventures play out in parallel as Captain Tomás “Grim” Herrera embarks on a mission to locate the Black Country base somewhere in the far east, while Lieutenant Gibson Blanc and his pack of bikers get to the bottom of a mass raid on scrap depots across the Wastelands in The Metal Factor (3/11).
VIII. Obscurae Mentis Vitalis
“Two…two rights, two lefts.” Brennus softly stammered, eyes fluttering, suspended in his lucid dream state. “Then a straight shot. Out. Or down. Anything to get away from…from the blood on the sand.” Eric hadn’t had to perform hypnotism like this in ages, but given the state of his model student for overcoming the tortures of the C…
In The Hunt, after Brennus recovers from his traumatic relapse, Eric tries to cure the hunters of their irrational psychosis once and for all via experimental hypnotic therapy, one which takes the three troubled wolves to the strangest, darkest corners of their mind in Obscurae Mentis Vitalis (3/12).
VIII. The Professor's Lesson
10 minutes. She’d been back all of 10 minutes before the mayhem had begun. For Lita and the Red Devil, breaking back through the Haven border was a cinch. With the gas flat-out, the blood-colored Bug ripped clean through the chain link of the never-ending fence. It was easy.
On the streets of Haven, The Urban Avenger has met her match! When the dashing, antediluvian crimefighter Smith rolls in from the north at a crucial moment, the hippie-punk Lita decides to enlist the white wolf in her crusade against her maniacal state-sponsored pursuer. It’s a dandy and devilish odd couple in The Professor’s Lesson (3/13).
VIII. Drunk on Dust Devils
Heya, I don’t know how to break this to ya, but we got a problem. Oh yeah, Rory here, beat machine for Metröpolis, howyado? Anyway, I know you usually get these from Nic. Speed talking a big game, telling ya about our time on the Patrol together and all that, but we got a serious problem right here: dude is DONE.
When it comes time to crack open The Speedfreak Files, Officer Nic “Speedfreak” Ridgefield (after some sobering up by colleague and bandmate Rory “Madskins” Armstrong) relays a bizarre affair involving artificial tornadoes and the mad scientists behind them in Drunk on Dust Devils (3/14).
Spycraft, 2475 A.D.
It’s been said what worries you, masters you, and to that end I’ve managed to suppress all trepidation within me. I walk the nights without fear, without the cloud of nerves fogging the mind, and in my field, that clarity is of paramount importance.
And in the latest installment of Tales From the Front Lines, Agent Roger Steele regales us with a slice of reconnaissance life during an undercover mission to infiltrate Haven’s Tower Network. We soon learn about the twists and turns that come when Steele takes up a tech-savvy hound’s offer to get closer to A.C.E.S. When all’s said and done, it proves a classic example of Spycraft, 2475 A.D. (3/15).
