Overview
Howdy Soldiers! So a lot has happened recently in the past week. A lot of headway gained, a lot of moves made. We’d like to thank everyone for the love shown to our latest multimedia endeavor with heavy metal single Wolves of Steel featuring Mr. Ruthless himself, JVP, and we are both humbled and grateful for its reception. Though the deal may be gone, you can still buy it on Bandcamp for $3 USD and every penny that comes from it helps us make the quality content you guys deserve.
I’ll also run this ahead of the updates section. I have made a final decision on the release schedule for Issue 5, Summer 2023: we are going WEEK-LONG!
This new issue will be a trial-run. Starting June 5th, we will be releasing stories from the magazine one at a time, with a special exception. Expect the following:
Monday, 6/5: THE WAR and ALAN FIREDALE
Tuesday, 6/6: THE HUNT
Wednesday, 6/7: THE URBAN AVENGER
Thursday, 6/8: THE SPEEDFREAK FILES
Friday, 6/9: TALES FROM THE FRONT LINES
Let us know what you think about the new rollout method in the comments below. On with the updates!
Updates
WRITING! - First drafts of ALL FIVE STORIES are completed and moving on to the editing phase. Now, in hindsight, our rundown of the plots in our April 7th RLB was a bit hasty. Some elements have remained, but many have mutated and changed over the course of weeks. I’ll keep things close to the chest this time, but expect an issue of mystery, suspense, and excitement!
AUDIO! - Narration has been recorded for Alan Firedale Episode 3, a bold and exciting story in which the young desert rogue and his automotive pal Golden Cloud face a prism of their own fears alongside a young biker and a kindly mechanic. This was a prime example of the wild turn taken this quarter and I loved both writing and recording this story. It’s in the audio processing phase, with sound design and score underway.
ART! - Lead artist Kevin John Jacob is hard at work on our five sheets of epic illustrations for Issue 5, as well as working on forthcoming short comic The Avenger’s Creed. I want to get in the habit of sharing some WIPs each week, so to kick off: let’s have a taste of Lita’s next cyberpunk escapade in The Urban Avenger…

The Byte of the Week
This week’s story, our first PAID exclusive for the month is another tale of technological horror. Something is loose with the Artificially Controlled Eco-System, and one techie for the White Coat Crew is about to learn the terrible virus unleashed on those who work within the system in Viralis.
May God Bless You and this Force. Stay safe…
