RED ALERT: No Newsletter This Week
Taking a Brief Hiatus from Red Light Bytes (The Newsletter)
Greetings Soldiers!
Hope all’s well. To cut straight to the chase, there will be NO RED LIGHT BYTES NEWSLETTER THIS WEEK. I repeat, THIS WEEK is the only week we will be going without a proper newsletter. Allow me to explain why.
It all comes down to series production. In the past, I’ve suspended full RLB runs in the name of getting a new issue done. It was the reason why our Spring 2023 issue was produced with zero build-up besides the release of the 2022 Annual Collection in late January. A lot of this series has been produced against the backdrop of working the dreaded day job, negotiating other obligations, and all the wonderful and not-so-wonderful things life throws our way. And when life finds a way to get in the way, that’s usually when the brakes get hit and I have to take that moment to get done what I need done.
This particular blackout is because I have fallen behind on writing to such a degree that I need to focus all my energy on making up that lost ground. A lot of the reasons for the delays are personal, but I won’t bore anyone with the details. The point is that I have to focus on getting the ship back on course. I’m not lacking in inspiration, motivation, or dedication, just in the time necessary to get everything to the level of quality I strive for.
Now, while the newsletter will be offline, there will still be a new story this week. I started working on it before I made this decision, and I don’t see why I shouldn’t follow through. I’ll be making it FREE FOR ALL READERS as a bit of a compromise for the lack of curative content and indie signal-boosting. So expect a fun little slice of life tomorrow.
As always, May God Bless You and This Force. Thank you for your time, your patience, and your understanding. Will see you soon!
Your true followers will forgive you. In the immortal words of Larry TCG "Get er done."
